The cover illustration showed a man and a child; the man was pointing at a flower -- or rather, at the honeybee flying around it. (My favorite was the cranky little kid being quizzed by an adult: &quot;Y R U Y N G?&quot;, something like that.)

It&#039;s kind of a shame that Steig did the original &quot;Shrek&quot; book; I have a feeling that in 25 years, maybe less, that&#039;s all he&#039;ll be remembered for.</description>

I do enjoy Steig&#039;s illustrations.  My son likes his Pete&#039;s a Pizza picture book.</description>
