Well, yes. I realize that. And my past with it comes from watching Doctor Who because it is a spinoff and that's where I came to appreciate Captain Jack. And there are references do Doctor Who throughout the Torchwood series. In fact, you might notice that Torchwood is a rearrangement of the letters in Doctor Who, and ... oh dear. I am going to go on and on. Nothing like a convert.@John -

@John - Watch Torchwood first. It is more current. I haven't seen Northern Exposure in so long, I'm afraid if I watched it now, I'd wonder why I loved it so.

That right there — to me — is a prescription for sanity in an occasionally nutso universe.

Northern Exposure and I crossed paths only rarely, for some reason. I’d like to think it was never on at a convenient time but that’s just looking for excuses. Guess I need to add it (with Torchwood) to the must-watch pile!
