This lively pet hamster will keep you company throughout the day. Watch him run on his wheel, drink water, and eat the food you feed him by clicking your mouse. Click the center of the wheel to make him get back on it.
Apparently, I clicked him too many pellets. He needs to drink a lot between them, then clean himself forever. Never saw him get back on the wheel. Rodents. We’re all the same.
My son wants to come back and feed this guy every day.
Looks like the 7 year old’s hamster (renamed Houdini for the number of times it escapes)! Did have a typewriter fixated cat once – he’d pounce on carriage returns, usually just as you got to the end of a laboriously typed dissertation page …
You can even move the pellets around.

Squirrel: Hmm. You can click on the center of the wheel and he’ll get back on. But yeah, in his
shoespaws, I’d probably prefer to just eat pellets and drink water (if water it is). (I guess hamsters — and Squirrels, too? — hate the rat race as much as anybody.)marta: You’re in trouble if he returns expecting the hamster to be larger. (Or smaller, for that matter.) Just tell him when you and he aren’t looking, this site’s staff is cleaning up all the little pellets the darling little creature leaves behind.
Kate: Dunno what it is with cats and keyboards. Our one remaining cat sprawls on The Missus’s lap when she’s upstairs at her PC, and is always pawing at the keyboard (or alternatively, trying to prevent her from pawing at it). Did yours get an acknowledgment in the dis? :)
Jules: I’m sure, then, that you noticed if you pick up a pellet and drop it from some distance up, it actually bounces?!? (And I don’t think the time you spent on it can possibly as bad — or obsessive — as the time its designer must have!)
Just FYI: as long as there are pellets on the ground, you can click on the center all you want and he will not get back on the wheel. That was where I erred.

Wish there was some way to have more than one hamster. Then we could race them. That’d be good for, like, an entire weekend’s procrastination. :)
