New Zealand band The Naked and Famous<\/a> may be new — their first album (Passive Me, Agressive You<\/em>) was first released this past September, and worldwide<\/a> just a couple weeks ago. But they’re already attracting notice: their single “Young Blood” debuted on their home NZ charts at the #1<\/a> position. And the BBC has already long-listed them<\/a> as one of their “Sound of 2011” picks — artists to watch out for this year.<\/p>\n

This song itself (unofficial lyrics available<\/a> at various sites) didn’t 100% convince me. Couldn’t help wondering, though, if it might have been inspired by the following; the rhythm of the visuals in the slow-mo second half of that video match the rhythm of “Waiting for a Girl Like You” quite well:<\/p>\n
