She did so today with a link to the Gawker site: <a title=\"Gawker: 30 years of MTV in three minutes\" href=\"http:\/\/gawker.com\/5826583\/30-years-of-mtv-in-three-minutes\" target=\"_blank\">a three-minute video history of MTV<\/a>\u00a0(not embeddable, alas), documenting the rise, decline, and further decline.<\/p>\n<p>____________________<\/p>\n<p>* Some sites say that the proper abbreviation here is &#8220;V<em>T<\/em>R,&#8221; for &#8220;video tape recording&#8221; (vs. <em>C<\/em>-for-cassette). That&#8217;s probably more generic and hence maybe more &#8220;accurate,&#8221; i.e.,\u00a0 it doesn&#8217;t put the blame on a specific technology. Commenters here seem to focus on a lip-reading, insisting that the singer clearly forms a <em>T<\/em>\u00a0at that point.
