Sorry to hear that, John. We lost our good friend Gråpuss the cat at Christmas (bad timing); it’s a sad affair to lose a beloved pet.
Hope to see you soon again at Burning Lines.
Marta, Tessa, Jules, and Son: Thanks so much for the condolences. I don’t want to over-dramatize it all, but losing a pet sure upsets the subtle geometry of relationships in a household.
(Son: back at you about Gråpuss. (And what a great name for an Oslorian cat!))

Condolences for your loss. Pets bring such joy. I don’t know why we give our hearts to them like we do when we know they will leave us.
Tessa says
My sympathies, John.
Jules says
I’m so sorry to read that…Sending good thoughts your way.

Oh, no! I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope Dilly went peacefully.
John says
Thanks, Jolie. She went peacefully, yeah (actually we were en route with her to the vet) — Dilly pretty much did everything peacefully.
