The WordPress editor I’ve used for RAMH since the blog’s launch in 2008 has already changed (as of last year), to something called “Gutenberg.” They’ve allowed us for the time being to continue to use the old familiar interface, and I’ve been putting off making the change because I haven’t really had time to learn a new technology for something which I’ve gotten so used to.
But I really can’t put it off any longer.
As I understand it, it won’t affect what you see here; from the perspective of visitors, the behavior of the site should stay the same — still being controlled, after all, by the current “theme” (a customized version of a commercial package). So cross your fingers on that score.
No, all the pain should be mine.
(But pain needn’t be a bad thing, right? Er, RIGHT?!?…)
In the meantime, on a going-forward basis, don’t be surprised if some surprises occur. I just don’t know what they might be yet.
Here we go — upgrading to Gutenberg in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…
